Our General practitioners (GPs) treat all common medical conditions. They will listen to your concern, examine you and, depending on their diagnosis, discuss the management options with you to develop a tailor-made plan. This can include giving you reassurance, information, advising you on a certain course of action or prescribing medication.
They can provide further tests at the surgery, such as blood tests, swabs or an ECG to confirm a diagnosis, or refer you to other medical services or hospitals for urgent and specialist treatment when needed.
Our GPs also focus on preventative medicine and health promotion; this can include child or travel immunisations, smoking cessation, and lifestyle advice.
