Some common concerns for seeing a gynaecologist are contraceptive advice, cycle disturbances, abdominal or pelvic pains, heavy periods, intermittent or irregular periods, menopausal symptoms.

Our gynaecologists offer treatment for a wide range of conditions including:

  • Contraceptive advice and family planning (including intrauterine device fitting)

  • Fibroids

  • Endometriosis

  • Heavy or painful periods

  • Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)

  • Uterine or endometrial polyps

  • Vaginal or uterine prolapse

  • Screening and management of uterine, cervical, ovarian and endometrial cancers

  • Sexual health investigations

Your consultant will take a history, assess your condition and give you their expert opinion. If further diagnostic tests or treatments are required, these will be explained to you fully during your consultation.
