Psychomotor Therapy

Psychomotor Therapy is a French paramedical discipline that looks at the relationship between the physical, emotional & psychological aspects of a person.
Embedded in a developmental approach, the specificity of this practice lies in the use of body mediations and expression techniques that allow to address the body’s lived experience and the tonic-emotional states that are related to it.
Engaging both body and speech, relaxation is a widely used practice in psychomotor therapy. By promoting the integration and positive re-appropriation of the body, it is proposed as an experience of emotional readjustment and is defined, in this context, as a body mediation with psychotherapeutic aim.
A major focus of psychomotor therapy is the management of emotional difficulties.
